A Journey Of Honor…
Bataan Memorial Death March
Today, CFS Owner Jeremy Mhire and US Army Major/CFS Coach Matt Brown honored the memory of American/Filipino troops (including Jeremy’s own grandfather) who endured the grueling Bataan Death March in April of 1942. The event–a 26.2 mile trek through the desert terrain of White Sands, New Mexico–is described below by Jeremy, upon finishing the distance…
We made it! The Bataan Memorial Death March is the most physically challenging yet rewarding thing I’ve ever done. May the memory of all who have endured and sacrificed much more than we didd today live on forever. May each of us find within our own lives the strength and power to march on with grace, a heartiness in our step and a twinkle in our eyes. May we fight the good fight of faith until the LORD calls us home and welcomes us with a “WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!”
We at CFE are very proud of what you accomplished today, Jeremy and Matt!
That which seems impossible–proves attainable after all–when the road before you is rooted in honor, and traveled by a faithful heart
